Foundation for End of Life CareJuneau, Alaska
The Mission of the Foundation for End of Life Care is to support end of life services, including hospice, bereavement care, and community education.
The goal of this foundation is to ensure that Juneau residents and nearby communities continue to have local hospice services available to them.
For Juneau locals, our publication, When You’re Not There, is also available at Hearthside Books.
By Virginia Palmer
This simple 40-page book provides guidance with estate planning, what to do when there is a death in the family, how to cope with grief, and more. It offers advice on where to get help when a family member is dying. The book is not just about death, but about preparing for loss. Each book comes with two journals for recording important information that is lost or difficult to obtain after someone dies. Having this information in one place, safely recorded can remove some of the stress and agony from losing a loved one.
